About the Job: 

Women’s World Banking is seeking applications from qualified consultants to provide technical expertise in project management. The consultant will work with the financial solutions & delivery team to plan and coordinate all aspects of banking and financial services products and services projects (savings, loans, digital, insurance, Fintech, etc.) from discovery to delivery.

Consultant will be engaged through a contract for one year, with a start date in August 2019, which may be extended at Women’s World Banking’s discretion. They will be needed on multiple short-term & long-term projects simultaneously.

Objectives and Responsibilities:
The objective of the consultant will be to support the discovery, development, and drive execution of high priority business initiatives and financial products and services India for the organization’s strategic financial institution partners. This will include:

  • Establish project management best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Work directly with leadership, participate in project planning to define scope and objectives of programs and utilize strong project management skills, stakeholder management experience, networking, and communication skills.
  • Facilitate planning sessions to build consensus among project team members regarding task definitions, sequencing and interrelationships within the project.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, customized dashboards, consolidated schedules, supporting documents, and presentations for program and project status meetings.
  • Monitor project progress and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Track key performance indicators and create reports and presentations to be delivered to Asset Management, organization leadership and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and enhance processes, leverage existing content and materials, identify interdependencies and common issues, and share leading practices across initiatives.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Make recommendations to enhance delivery of projects.
  • Identify risk and escalate as required.


  • Four or more years of project management experience within the professional services, financial services and/or banking industry or similar environment.
  • Must have experience developing detailed project plans and managing all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, resolution of issues and risks, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully achieve objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, communication and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently & with remote teams.
  • Experience working on large scale global projects, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring milestones are on schedule and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in financial services and/or banking products and services (savings, loans, insurance, digital, Fintech, etc.).
    • Master’s degree or PMP certification or working towards certification.
    • Experience in research, finance, financial modeling, consulting, etc.
