The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) has signed a K36 million agreement with Financial Sector Deepening Zambia (FSDZ) to build the financial capabilities of women and youths and reduce the gender gap.

Speaking during a signing ceremony in Lusaka on Wednesday, Swedish Ambassador to Zambia Henrik Cederin said the Women’s Financial Inclusion (WIN), a three and a half-year agreement to build the financial capabilities of women and youth, was a project aimed at increasing financial inclusion. The key interventions proposed under the WIN agreement include increased financial capabilities and uptake of financial services for rural women’s farming activities and household expenditures, among others.
