A Practical Guide to Revolutionizing Product Design in Financial Services

At the intersection of financial inclusion and product design lies an often overlooked yet vital question: What about women? Despite the growing recognition of the importance of women in economic development, financial products are too often designed without the unique needs and experiences of women in mind.

Women’s World Banking believes financial services providers (FSPs) can play a pivotal role in addressing this gap by adopting a gender lens in their design processes. Last year, they introduced a women-centered design (WCD) methodology, which explores why FSPs should rethink financial product design to better serve women.

This Practical Guide to Revolutionizing Product Design in Financial Services focuses on the “how” of women-centered design, offering a step-by-step roadmap for FSPs to implement Women’s World Banking's methodology within their organizations.
