About the Job:
The aim of the Digi#ances project is to enable Syrian refugees and low-income Jordanians to use mobile money transfer services (mobile wallets), thus improving access to remittances. To achieve this, the project is developing and implementing pilot projects with the private sector, humanitarian organizations and other institutions.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Providing expert advice on developing mobile payment options (such as humanitarian payments).
Advising the project partners on setting up sales and distribution networks, training sales agents and developing digital financial products.
Planning, implementing and monitoring the project activities with the aid of the Capacity WORKS management system.
Managing national, regional and international appraiser assignments.
Developing and organizing knowledge products and events such as toolkits, conferences and workshops, and analyzing the lessons learned.
University-level degree in economics or another relevant discipline.
Several years of professional experience in financial systems development.
In-depth knowledge in the area of digital financial systems development and remittances.
Practical experience in providing advisory services in a development policy context, obtained abroad.
Resilience, ability to work in a team, social and intercultural skills.
Fluent in business German and English, knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
