About the Job:
The data and business analytics manager will serve as a lead data translator and team manager, bringing together project management, industry expertise, and analytical skills to help teams to utilize data to improve their impact on HOPE’s clients. The manager will lead a new data analysis center of excellence for HOPE International, which will include development of a team of analysts working across the HOPE network. Areas of focus for the manager include data analysis, business intelligence solutions, digital financial applications and systems, and organizational reporting.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International.
Team and Project Management.
Establish a global center of excellence in data analysis for the HOPE International network, including team development of data and business analysts.
Serve as a lead data translator, bringing industry knowledge and understanding of data analysis solutions to challenges presented by business and operations team leaders. Assist leaders with prioritization of challenges and organize analysts within collaborative groups to generate solutions.
Work collaboratively with the technical assistance data architecture team as needed for the development of company and team data warehouses, potentially including application research, project management support, system integration, development of reporting tools, and quality assurance monitoring.
Coordinate and manage relationships within interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams including internal IT, technical assistance, finance, and program resources and external entities, such as vendors, consultants and partner organizations.
Data Analysis and Consultation to Global Network of Programs.
Lead the development of analytical models and dashboards from field-level portfolio data for HOPE International’s Microfinance and Savings Group teams to achieve strategic plan goals for automated operational reporting.
Consult with other HOPE departments such as the Listening, Monitoring and Evaluation team and Marketing and Development teams in the development and implementation of new tools and dashboards.
Promote strong reporting, analytics, and data protection across the network.
Enhance the capacity of field program managers and staff to support and knowledgeably use key field data applications and reporting systems.
Special Projects Leadership and Support.
Assist in the development and implementation of new technical systems, processes and applications, as required by HOPE programs and partner organizations.
Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International.
Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, economics, mathematics, science, or technology field.
A minimum of three years of professional experience in data analysis, micro-enterprise development, banking, or the financial services sector.
Demonstrated ability to conduct business analysis and prepare recommendations for presentation to senior leadership.
Strong organizational skills and ability to self-manage, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage others, and work effectively cross-culturally.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft Office Suite products are required; technical proficiency in SQL is a desired qualification, with other languages a plus.
Experience in business intelligence solutions required, with preference to PowerBI; experience in project management platforms, data warehousing applications, and IT support infrastructure are a plus.
Willingness to travel.
Ability to speak multiple languages and cross-cultural experience preferred.
