About the Job: 

Women’s World Banking (WWB) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated digital marketing senior associate to join its Marketing and Communications Team. The Marketing and Communications team is responsible for raising awareness of women’s financial inclusion and positioning Women’s World Banking as the leading organization in this space. Social media and email marketing are critical components of WWB's awareness and engagement work, supporting thought leadership, PR and events to promote the Women’s World Banking brand; advocate for women’s financial inclusion; and to engage with relevant stakeholders.

In coordination with the existing content strategy, the senior associate will own all aspects of Women’s World Banking’s social media, digital properties and email calendar, driving strategy and execution across all WWB channels from campaign development to content creation to analysis as well as overseeing the website.

The senior associate will develop a deep understanding of WWB's work and analysis of its digital performance in order to create social-ready content that is relevant for WWB's target audiences, ensure timely and responsive community management of its online followers and supporters and provide audience and industry insight through social listening. The senior associate will manage the social media component of the broader editorial calendar and design and execute campaigns to promote Women’s World Banking’s brand, reach target influencers, publicize events, amongst others.  He/she will continuously improve performance by setting, capturing and analyzing appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices on a regular basis.

The senior associate will also have primary responsibility for the website, ensuring that content is fresh and overseeing freelance back-end support. The digital marketing senior associate will also be responsible for the overall email marketing calendar including sending out the monthly newsletter as well as other email drip campaigns.

The senior associate may also support additional marketing and communications activities to build Women’s World Banking’s brand as needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Within the first 75 days:
    • Understand the Women’s World Banking brand, including personality, tone, key messages, and visual identity.
    • Analyze social performance to date and make adjustments to strategy as needed.
    • Create new metrics for measuring success.
    • Gain knowledge of Women’s World Banking’s strategy.
    • Fully own digital properties and channels.
  • Ongoing responsibilities:
    • Create and execute social strategy.
    • Design content for social channels.
    • Manage community engagement.
    • Oversee paid campaigns.
    • Analyze performance and make adjustments as necessary.
    • Stay abreast of financial inclusion trends.
    • Own the social media component of broader editorial calendar.
    • Work closely with each marketing lead to understand needs and integrate into calendar.
    • Manage email calendar.

Qualifications:

  • Four to six years of social media and community management, community management and measurement, using enterprise publishing tools such as SproutSocial.
  • Proven track record of increased acquisition and engagement on social channels.
  • Creative, experimental and self-directed.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills and extremely high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across various teams and levels.
  • Ability and desire to stay on the cutting edge of industry best practices related to digital marketing, including frequent review of relevant blogs, websites, social media thought leader, social media streams, tools, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Skillful in social media and web analytics tools to drive improved performance.
  • Expertise in email marketing tools (preferred Pardot).
  • Knowledge of CMS systems, including WordPress.
  • Preferred:
    • Video editing skills (Premiere etc.).
    • Agency experience.
    • Knowledge of website management (WordPress), web design or development.
    • Proficiency in basic graphic design, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) preferred.
    • External vendor management and project management.
    • Knowledge of or interest in financial inclusion, women’s issues and international development.
    • Online advertising campaign management.
    • Fluency in Spanish or French.
    • Enthusiasm for Women’s World Banking’s mission.
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities.
