Created in 2008, under the joint leadership of Crédit Agricole S.A. and Professor Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation is a multi-trade operator that aims to promote a shared economy. As an investor, lender, technical assistant provider and fund advisor, the Foundation works directly with Microfinance Institutions operating in developing countries by granting loans (in Euros, USD, local currencies), or guarantees; it also takes equity participations in social enterprises in emerging countries. The Foundation is the financial partner of 70 microfinance institutions and the shareholder of 13 social business enterprises in 38 countries.

About the Job: 

The Junior Technical Assistance Program Officer reports to the Inclusive Finance Development Division and works under the supervision of the Foundation’s Technical Assistance and Micro Insurance Program Officer. With the latter, he/she participates in the monitoring of the technical assistance programs established by the Foundation for the benefit of its partners MFIs and social business. The position works closely with the investment officers of the countries concerned, as well as the administrative and financial department of the Foundation, in order to carry out its tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Launch and implement technical assistance programs.
  •  Coordination and implementation of technical assistance programs with service providers.
  •  Monitoring, monitoring of technical assistance programs.
  • Reporting.
  • Fund raising for the program.


  • Interest in financial and social economic development issues in Africa and Asia.
  • High sensitivity to social issues.
  • Administrative and financial monitoring skills.
  • An initial experience in the technical and financial reporting procedures and/or modalities of public donors is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the microfinance sector is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Interpersonal and intercultural skills to work effectively with local partner teams.
  • IT Tools: Excellent knowledge of office tools (MS office).
  • Qualities sought: rigor, autonomy, synthesis, strength of proposal.
  • English and French required.
