CGAP Webinar Takes a Fresh Look at the Evidence on Microfinance
CGAP will host a webinar on 24 July to discuss its new Focus Note, Opening the Black Box on the Impact of Inclusive Credit. As microfinance returns to the center of public debate, the conversation will move beyond the question of whether credit "works" or "does not work" and look instead at what the evidence shows about when credit benefits borrowers, under what conditions, and what it takes for inclusive credit to contribute to meaningful development outcomes.
The discussion will feature CGAP CEO Sophie Sirtaine, Jemimah Njuki of the African Development Bank, and Alex Counts of Grameen Foundation.
