Indonesia: Government Financial Inclusion Efforts Focus on Seven Groups

The government of Indonesia is targeting seven population segments to boost financial inclusion in the country, as reflected in the Financial Inclusion Mapping Study: Accelerating Access to Financial Services for Target Groups. The study is the result of a collaboration between the National Council for Financial Inclusion (DNKI) and the Tony Blair Institute.

"This document serves as a basic implementation tool to support the acceleration of financial inclusion and account ownership," deputy for coordination of commerce and digital economy at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Ali Murtopo Simbolon, said.
