Symbiotics Announces $16 M investment in Banco Múltiple Ademi to Boost Financial Inclusion in the Dominican Republic
Symbiotics, the leading market access platform for impact investing, has completed a $16 million investment in Banco Múltiple Ademi, the only multiple-service bank specialized in microfinance in the Dominican Republic, marking its first entry into the country’s microfinance sector.
The transaction will provide Banco Múltiple Ademi with fresh capital to expand its lending activities to micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), especially those led by entrepreneurs from underserved communities such as women, rural populations, and low-income households who typically face limited access to formal financial services.
