Law of the Republic of Armenia on Pawnshops and Pawnshop Activity

This document provides the law that regulates relationships connected with pawnshop activity in Armenia, and stipulates the conditions of providing credits. It also defines the procedure of state supervision over pawnshop activities.

The document defines:

• Relations between pawnshop and the borrower;
• Operations performed by the pawnshop;
• Conditions of providing credits to citizens by the pawnshop.

It also provides the articles of the law on:

• Licensing and supervision of pawnshop activity;
• Provisions in case of violations of the law.

The final articles of the law deal with the operations of pawnshops that were registered before the law came into force.
