45 pages
Coastal areas of Bangladesh are at high risk due to frequent natural disasters. Due to climate-induced natural disasters, the communities are facing several constraints to improve their condition. This study aims to identify the impact of microfinance with proper technical support in agricultural production on these communities' livelihoods.
The study finds that timely financial and technical support can enhance the quality of production in the climate vulnerable areas. Both income and production have been increased in the last few years though the studied area, which has faced some natural disasters. The study also recommends some future activities to make the support program more effective.
