Measuring Women Entrepreneurs’ Financial Health
Baseline evaluation
46 pages
This report presents findings from the baseline survey of the four-year Strive Women program.
Women-led micro and small enterprises (W-MSEs) are critical contributors to economies, communities, and households worldwide. But for these entrepreneurs to thrive, it takes more than access to finance. It requires using a comprehensive set of services and approaches to improve their financial health. As such, Strive Women offers two main interventions:
- Tailored financial products: Strive Women works with entrepreneurs and financial service providers to refine existing and develop new financial products that are responsive to the needs of women-led micro and small enterprises. The program offers tailored products such as loan products, savings accounts, and digital wallets.
- Non-financial support services: Strive Women offers a suite of non-financial services aimed at improving W-MSE’s capabilities and confidence to achieve business growth. These services include business, digital, and financial literacy training, mentorship programs, access to childcare, and support for more environmentally friendly business practices.
