Designing a Grant Mechanism for Women-Focused Cooperatives to Support Resilient Livelihoods

This brief highlights the Community Resilience Partnership Program’s support to women and disadvantaged groups through targeted strategies, including grant mechanisms for women-focused cooperatives, capacity building and training, empowerment and agency, improved access to water and livelihood infrastructure, strengthening institutional structures, inclusive design and community consultation, and support for diversified and nature-based livelihoods. It demonstrates how developing and strengthening women-focused institutional structures, such as women-led cooperatives, can deliver resilience outcomes and position women as key stakeholders in building climate resilience in their communities.
