2020 European Microfinance Award

The European Microfinance Award rewards innovation and excellence in financial inclusion.

The 2020 edition focuses on “Encouraging Effective & Inclusive Savings » and intends to highlight the crucial role that savings can play for low-income and excluded populations, and how financial providers can encourage their effective and widespread use.

The winner will be announced at the digital and livestream ceremony organized on 19 November at 14:00 (Luxembourg time - CET or GMT+1) with the participation of Her Royal Highness, the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. This ceremony will be held in English and simultaneously translated in French and Spanish.

The European Microfinance Award, of EUR 100,000 for the winner and EUR 10,000 for each runner-up, is co-organized by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs - Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP) and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg (InFiNe.lu).
