Advancing Disability‑Inclusive & Gender‑Responsive Finance

The Advancing Disability-Inclusive & Gender-Responsive Finance event is an online launch that brings together key stakeholders to explore how financial systems, especially digital and cooperative finance, can be designed to truly serve everyone. This session will introduce a set of Inclusive Finance Resources funded by the Australian DFAT (Department of Foreign Aid and Trade) –Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP). The event aims to highlight practical tools, real-world insights, and collaborative approaches that advance gender equality, disability inclusion, and broader social inclusion (GEDSI) within financial ecosystems.

Participants, including policymakers, financial institutions, investors, civil society organizations, Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), microfinance institutions, and private sector actors, will gain access to newly developed GEDSI tools, an animated disability etiquette resource by KOMIDA, and lessons learned from a project on inclusive and responsible digitalization in Indonesia. The session will also emphasize why inclusive finance is critical for equitable access, safe and accountable systems, and scalable impact.
