Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance Summer Academy

The role of financial markets in driving the transformation towards a low-carbon climate resilient economy is fundamental to the efficient implementation of global ambitions in the post-Paris Agreement phase. Realizing a successful transformation requires thought leaders to understand and critically analyze the key aspects of private capital engagement at various levels and from different sources. The Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance (the Centre) is a strategic cooperation between UN Environment and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

The Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance Academy provides participants the opportunity to learn about ambitious climate and sustainable finance. The five-day training has been designed for international public and private sector practitioners. It offers a comprehensive framework and best practices on sustainable energy financing projects in the context of international climate policy.

With two different tracks to choose from within the Climate & Sustainable Energy Academy, you have the opportunity to build a solid foundation in green finance, where you can either explore some of the bigger picture topics or go deeper into the number crunching side. Take a look at the questions below and see which profile suits you best. If you have any further questions after seeing the agendas, simply let us know.

  • Are you entering the sustainable and climate finance sector and looking forward to understanding the links between science & technology, politics, and economics & finance? Join the “Climate Policy & Finance” track. No finance knowledge necessary.
