Video Highlights From SAM 2023: Financial Inclusion and Climate Resilience
The 2023 African Microfinance Week (SAM), organized by ADA, is a biennial event focused on promoting financial inclusion in Africa. FinDev Gateway, as a media partner, attended various sessions at the conference, where over 1,000 inclusive finance professionals gathered to address climate change challenges, socio-economic vulnerabilities, and the role of inclusive finance in building a sustainable future for Africa.
The conference revolved around three key themes: 'Risks & Resilience' aimed at community and institutional resilience building, 'Opportunities' emphasized the transition to a green economy, and 'Partnerships & Ecosystem' highlighted the importance of collaboration among inclusive finance stakeholders. We interviewed six conference speakers to capture their key insights from these sessions.
