This study is conducted to investigate the impact of Al-Amal Microfinance Bank’s humanitarian and economic empowerment initiatives on the foreign exchange market and network in Yemen.

This paper describes the development of microfinance in Yemen and the role of Al-Amal Bank in the sector over the past 15 years, then introduces the concept of micro letters of guarantee, which Al-Amal Bank launched in 2020.

In this case study, Al-Amal Microfinance Bank (AMB) presents their work in promoting women's empowerment and financial inclusion.
