A guide for MFIs on how they can adopt digitisation
This document outlines how digitization has helped microfinance institutions (MFIs) bring operational efficiency and provide better services to their clients. It is prepared based on UKaid Sakchyam Access to Finance Programme’s experience of supporting in implementation of tablet banking with 10 MFIs in Nepal. These MFIs have adopted automation by switching from manual to tablet-based transactions. The tablets are also being used to simplify the loan process, collect Know Your Customer (KYC) information, among other operational tasks of the organizations.
