Cybersecurity Resource Centers for the Financial Sector: A Proposed Business Concept

This slide deck is a supplement to the CGAP Blog, "Regional Centers Can Help Low-Income Countries Build Cyber Resilience" (July 2020).

Growing cybersecurity risks threaten the stability and integrity of the financial sector, as well as financial consumer protection and financial inclusion. But many developing countries lack affordable and reliable cybersecurity resources and capabilities, especially specialized skills in financial sector cybersecurity. This slide deck lays out a proposal for how multiple countries in a region could pool resources to create shared cybersecurity resource centers that benefit from economies of scale.
