This handbook guides developmental agencies in their support to ICT-based enterprises for women. It is designed for government or donor agency staff, NGOs, women who run ICT-based enterprises and anyone else working to support these enterprises.

Using data from various research projects on the subject, the handbook aims to deliver more and better women's ICT-based enterprises, by promoting, initiating and improving such ventures. Information in the handbook includes:

  • Definition of "women's ICT-based enterprise" with real-world examples of these enterprises and the women who work in them;
  • Reasons to support women's ICT-based enterprises, detailing the benefits they deliver to poor women in developing countries;
